STEFAN GP has not been included in the official entry list which was published today for the 2010 F1 World Championship. US F1 failed to be ready in time and reset their sights on 2011, and are also not included. Stefan, with the leftovers of the old Toyota team had hoped to be on the grid in Bahrain on the 14th with 1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve driving for them.
But the FIA issued a statement saying: “It is not possible for a replacement team to be entered for the championship at this late stage.”
So let me get this straight. The FIA wait and wait and wait for a team that by the sound of it had no hope of getting to the first race and ignore a team with all the right kit. Then when the first team fails and the other is ready step in, the FIA slam the door in their face. I don’t know about you but does that really seem fair?
Campos are now called Hispania and have signed Indian driver Karun Chandhok. He will partner fellow F1 rookie Bruno Senna.
In football, England beat 2006, 2008 and 2010 African champions Egypt 3-1. We were nowhere in the first half-hour and even went 0-1 down. But we were a completely different team in the second half, and two goals from Peter Crouch and one from Shaun Wright-Phillips saw England to their 500th win.
